Primary Care Centre
The Challenge
To form a new dedicated X-Ray suite, additional consultation and treatment rooms within a fully operational Primary Care Centre during regular working hours. There was a focus on
co-ordinating the X-Ray equipment minimum requirements with our Mechanical and Electrical Design and existing site constraints whilst ensuring Skyline Green kept to the project budget.
The Solution
Thorough Mechanical & Electrical validation surveys were undertaken to understand what services needed to remain live for the operational building and what we could isolate to allow our works to be undertaken. Viable VE options were presented to our client and the design teams to ensure the project remained financially viable. Design and coordination meetings were scheduled with the client, the X-Ray equipment provider, Siemens Healthcare, and the clients’ design team at the earliest opportunities to allow us to understand the specific requirements for the suite. With most of the coordination and design discussions undertaken before project commencement, this reduced risk to the programme.
The Benefits
Delivering the X-Ray Suite in Canvey Island Primary Care Centre has meant that patients no longer have to travel to London to have an X-Ray. Skyline Green has transformed the existing areas into new workable spaces whilst maintaining operations, with no negative feedback
from the on-site staff.
