6th Floor Refurbishment
The Challenge
The 6th floor at Baker McKenzie offers its clients and visitors a full and comprehensive corporate conferencing facility catering for all sized parties. Keeping the continuity of the business operational was a must. The challenge was to keep the majority of walkways open for personnel traffic which includes catering staff with trolleys delivering fine dining to a minimum of 31 rooms at any one time whilst the rooms and reception space were being refurbished.
The Solution
Skyline Green produced an approach that allowed us to do just that, it was a rolling programme removing no more than 8 rooms at a time and after the initial 2 week period we reclaimed 1 newly refurbished room back whilst another was taken off line. This continued until all rooms were back in action. The corridor transformation was carried out at weekends and evenings to prevent disruption. The Reception was temporarily relocated to maximise the use of time
to demolish the existing and transform it into a completely unrecognisable and much preferred space.
